History
- 1975.
Peter Broadwell began work at the
the Visual Math Institute
as an undergraduate student.
- 1985.
The MIMI (Mathematically Illuminated Musical Instument)
was born, through a grant from
the International Synergy Institute (Andra Akers.)
- 1989.
In joint research with John Corliss
and John Dorband, some very interesting
computer graphic animations were discovered,
ideal subjects for the MIMI.
- 1991.
Ralph met Ami Radunskaya at a conference
on mathematical economics in Siena, Italy.
- 1992.
Thanks to an invitation from
William Irwin Thompson to perform at the Cathedral, we put
it all together as a trio, "MIMI and the Illuminati."
Videos of our concerts are available.
