UCSC Art 101 Spring 2015: Individual Websites
You may host your personal website (to post your weekly homework) anywhere.
Free webistes at UCSC are provided for all enrolled sstudents.
Useful files for personal pages at UCSC:
You need:
- Your UCSC ID
- A Cruz ID account
- Your CruzID Blue password
- Code editor to create your files (HTML, CSS, and JS)
- TextWrangler (free) is provided in the UCSC ITS Computer Labs
- I use Smultron ($5)
- SFTP software to upload your files (HTML, CSS, and JS)
- Fetch ($29) and Cyberduck (free) are provided in the UCSC Mac labs
- FileZilla (free) is provided in the UCSC ?C/Win labs
- I use Transmit ($34)
- Web browser
- Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Windows Explorer (free) all OK
- I use Safari
