Math 181.S96, Brunes' construction #3

Cheop's pyramid elevation section and the symbol "K"

Here at last Brunés presents his case. We return to the cross-section of the pyramid through the vertical plane determined by the entrance corridor, Grand Gallery, King's Chamber, etc.

Brunés' Figure 86, p. 140
  • Within the basic square is drawn its center-right quarter-square, 20-21-22-23
  • Within this quarter-square is drawn its upper-left half-square, the symbol "K", 20-24-25-26 (square A)
  • Within the square A is drawn its lower-left half square, the symbol "J", 28-29-30-26 (square B)
  • Within square B is drawn its lower-left half square, the symbol "J", side 32-26 (square C)
  • Allignments given on pp. 139-141:
    1. line 28-29: floor of King's Chamber (sacred cut of square A)
    2. line 26-25: floor of Subterranean Chamber
    3. line 28-31: floor of ascending passage and Grand Gallery
    4. line 30-29: desc passage meets asc passage
    5. line 28-29: bottom of the King's Chamber
    6. center of square B: the Well
    7. line 32-27: bottom of Queen's Chamber (sacred cut of square B)
    8. diag 25-20: meets desc passage at special stone markers
    9. circular arc 28-30: meets desc passage at deep fissure in rock

    Brunés' Figure 87, p. 142
  • Within the quarter-square 20-21-22-23 is drawn its center-left half-square, the symbol "N" turned 90 degrees right. This is the square: 33-34-35-36.
  • Within the quarter-square 20-21-22-23 is drawn its center-right half-square, the symbol "N" turned 90 degrees left. This is the square: 37-40-39-38.
  • Square 33-34-35-36 is translated to the right. This is the square: 37-38-39-40.
  • Allignments given on pp. 141-143:
    1. line 41-33: ceiing of Grand Gallery
    2. line 37-38: lower end of Gallery (approx.)
  • We rest our case.
