Megalithomania: GA according to Alexander Thom

The mathematics of GA (Geometro-Archeology) following the Lord of the Rings, Alexander Thom, Megalithic Sites of Britain, 1967.

Types of stone rings:

According to Thom, Pythagorean triples are involved in the constructions of egg-shaped rings, ellipses, and compound rings. (For an alternative, see Cowan.) Here we will indicate the role of the P-triple in the case of Woodhenge, an exemplary egg-shaped circle of Type I.
