Math 181, S96: Rules
- Quizes
- There will by three short quizes, about half
an hour each, in the lecture periods of 4M, 6M,
and 8M.
- Projects
- The first proposal for an individual or group
project is due in lecture 5M. It must include
the names of the individual or group
members, the title of the project,
and a short abstract.
- The first proposal should be submitted on time.
However, late proposals may be upgraded (without
feedback from Ralph or David) and submitted as
second proposals. There may be presentation
times available only for those projects
for which proposals have been submitted on time.
- The second proposal is due in lecture 7M.
It must include the same elements as the first proposal, it
must respond to suggestions made by Ralph or David on
the first proposal, and it must include a table of contents
and a bibliography.
- The written project report or website must
be delivered by the deadline, during lecture period
10W.
- Presentations of no more than 15 minutes length
will be scheduled in meetings 9M through 10W.
- Narrative Evaluations and Grades
- Assuming satisfactory quiz
scores, the evaluation will be "Satisfactory work"
(or the grade will be "C") unless there is
a project submitted on time, in which case
the evaluation will include a short description
or the project.
