  • Read Section 2.3 (pp. 16-22) of Chaos in Discrete Dynamical Systems on

  • Do some experiments in your browser with the
    Flash Applet for the Logistic Family
  • Record your values of Initial X and Parameter R and what you observe
    Find some fixed points (FPs)
    Are your fixed points attractive or repulsive ???
    HINT: Explore the behavior of points nearby (on both sides) of an FP
  • Email to me (as your assignment 02) a table of three values for each of five FPs:
    initial X, parameter R, attractive or repelling
