  • A. Read Kandinsky, On stage composition, in: Google Books.
Here is a better scan (and better translation):
The Blaue Reiter Almanac, Klaus Langheit, tr., 1974, PDF 10 MB
  • B. Locate the approximate value of the control parameter, c, at the explosive bifurcation in the Dorband family, using this NetLogo model, dorband2.nlogo.

    ----------
    HINT:
  • change the slider for "c" and then:
    click "setup" ,
click "place-particles", place one or two particles, click "place-particles" again,
    then click "go" (twice),
  • you find in the graphics window one or two attractors drawn in colors
  • the bifurcation you are looking for is the value of "c" at which
two smaller attractors join into one large one
  • --------
  • C. Dissect the code of the simple model, patches-01.nlogo. That is, explain every line of code by annotating the code within NetLogo, adding comments identified by ";;;; text" and then attach the file to your email to me.
