Projects

  • Grading will be based upon the homework scores, the midterm, and the final project.
    ** The midterm may replace lower scores on the homeworks.
    ** The final project score may replace lower scores of homework or the midterm.
  • The final project is to be based on a proposal.
    ** The proposal is to be submitted repeatedly until approved.
  • The final project must be planned and completed by individuals.
  • Main Track

  • The final project must be presented to the class in the final exam period.
  • The project is to be an abstract animation with coordinated sound.
    ** The work is to be written in NetLogo.
    ** The model must be suitable for performance.
    ** It must incorporate some algorithm of chaos theory or fractal geometry.
  • A 30-60 second video of a performance of the model, and a copy ot the NetLogo model,
    must be emailed to me the day before the final session.
  • Alternate track

  • An approved essay of 5-10 pages as PDF
    must be emailed to me the day before the final session.
