A. Read "The Paleolithic Birth of Geometric Thinking", [ MS#131 ].

There may well be a short quiz on this in Meeting #3.

B. Locate a periodic window in the Dorband family.

#1. Download the NetLogo model, dorband2.nlogo.

#2.: Use the model to find a periodic window.

• Adjust the "c" slider,
• click the "setup" button,
• click "go" to start,
• click it again to stop the model.
• You are looking for a screen that is nearly all black.

#3. Report the approximate value of "c" in your email to me.
