  • A. Read Gene Youngblood's "John Whitney: Composing an image of time",
    [ PDF, 6 MB ], or [ RTF, 45 MB ], or [ TXT, 97 KB ].
    There may well be a short quiz on this in Meeting #6.
  • B. Explore [ fractal-notes.org ]
    Find a favorite fractal image and a favorite fractal movie and report them in your email.
  • C. Learning NetLogo.
    Download [ play-image-02.nlogo ]
    Modify the model to use your own 6 images.
    Modify your images to have transparent backgrounds if you can.
    HINT: Browse online for "image transparency" to find several useful web apps.
    Make a 1 to 10 second video of playing a song with your model.
    HINT: The easiest way is to use a cell phone.
    Submit your NetLogo model and your video (hopefully less than 2 MB) via email.
