  • Step 1. Choose one of the six square quilts from Field and Golubitsky (images above).
    If you are in a team (maximum of four) you could all choose the same pattern.
  • Step 2. Download the NetLogo model for the pattern you have chosen.
    Use the download menu below.
  • Step 3. Search for interesting bifurcations.
    Choose one of the four parameters (sliders), lambda, alpha, beta, or gamma.
    Follow intstructions from the Info tab of the NetLogo model.
  • Step 4. Report any interesting bifurcations you find via email to me.
    You are looking for sudden changes in the pattern, or a periodic window.
