Three kinds of dynamical system (DS):

Flows
Continuous time and state space
Cascades
Discrete time, continous space, invertible
Semi-cascades, aka iterated function systems, iterated maps
Discrete time, continous space
In all types, the state space may be 1D (one-dimensional), 2D,... 0D (discrete state space, symbolic dynamics) occurs in some types. Cells of the same color share some properties.
