Prerequisites: Some concepts of linear algebra
Grading: 70% of your grade will be based on the midterm and on-time weekly homework. The remaining 30% will be determined by the open-notes final exam or project.
Final exam: 16M (Dec 15) 9:45 am -- 12:00 n

Course outline: We will closely follow the text, esp. Chs. 1-7, 13-18. In addition, we may be covering:

  • History of neural networks
  • Chaos in neural networks
  • Novel applications
How to succeed: Attend all lectures, turn in all homeworks on-time.
