1543 "Aristotelicae Animadversions", and "Dialecticae

1544 Franicis I forbids Ramus from teaching or
publishing philosophy
1547  Cardinal Charles de Lorraine appeals to Henry to
lift ban on Ramus--done, appointed to the College de
Presles, begins to write again.
1551 Appointed Regius professor of philosophy and
eloquence at the College de France
1557 Royal writ providing Ramus copyrights to works
both written and unwritten.
1562 Renounces Catholicism; becomes Calvanist,
proposes major reforms in teaching at the University
of Paris centered around the importance of mathematics
(including a chair of mathematics), forced to flee
Paris to Fontainbleau, Battle of Dreaux
1563 Peace of Amboise signed, returns to Paris.
1567 Flees Paris
1568 Returns briefly to Paris to find his library
destroyed, requests permission from King to visit
Germany
1568-70 In Germany, 
1570  While at Heidelberg takes place in a Protestant
Communion service,Peace of St-Germain signed, given
royal protection for return to Paris, banned from
teaching
1572  Condemned, d. at the massacre of St. Bartholomew
by assassination.
